Dopo il Duel Deck, il Commander, i From The Vault, ecco la nuova idea sfornata in casa Wizards of the Coast: il Clash Pack!
Come al solito, la Wizzy inerte non ci sa stare. Non solo ogni anno se ne escono con una nuova espansione con una storia originale (anche se ultimamente vanno molto di moda i remake, ma vabbé…). Non solo ogni espansione presenta minimo un centinaio di carte fresche fresche. Non solo aumentano il numero di meccaniche e abilità utilizzabili. Non solo se ne escono fuori in quei periodi morti tra i vari blocchi delle espansioni con nuovi prodotti, come i già citati Commander, Duel Deck, Deck Evento e altri ma, visto che non ne hanno mai abbastanza, hanno deciso di creare un nuovo prodotto per gli appassionati del mondo della Cieca Eternità. Sto parlando di Clash Pack!
Con il consueto annuncio della espansione base di quest’anno, cioè di Magic 2015, è arrivata in esclusiva anche un’altra novità, cioè Clash Pack. Maleficamente, però, dopo quell’insolito annuncio, non sono trapelate più notizie, almeno fino a qualche tempo fa.
Infatti Trick Jarret, ad inizio mese, ha svelato qualche indiscrezione, rivelando un po’ lo scopo e alcune caratteristiche sostanziali di questo set. Allora vediamo cosa dice.
Prima di tutto Trick chiarisce che Clash Pack non sarà un prodotto di sostituzione. Nello specifico non sostituirà i mazzi Evento, ma si alterneranno con esso. Quindi, se con M15 vedremo un Clash Pack, con l’espansione successiva avremo un deck Evento e così via. Tornando alle specifiche, si tratterà di un prodotto per due giocatori. Infatti saranno presenti due mazzi composti da sessanta carte progettate per poter essere giocate l’uno contro l’altro. Lo scopo è più vicino a quello degli Intro Pack piuttosto che a quello degli Event Deck, cioè avvicinare nuovi giocatori al gioco. Quando poi si diventa più esperti sarà possibile modificare il deck, seguendo alcuni suggerimenti che vengono forniti dalle istruzioni contenute all’interno del Pack, in modo da renderlo più competitivo ed accattivante. Buona idea in fondo, sicuramente la scelta di vendere un “Duel Deck” un po’ più accattivante non è male. Le indiscrezioni, però, continuano. All’interno del Pack ci saranno 6 carte foil con Artwork Alternativo.
Infine Trick fa un breve elenco su alcune delle caratteristiche più peculiari di questo prodotto:
- Nel pacchetto saranno inclusi due mazzi composti da sessanta carte entrambi ready-to-play
- Saranno presenti sei carte premium con art alternative
- Sarà presente un Deck Box
- Sarà compreso anche un inserto che spiega la strategia dei mazzi
- Regole di Magic con relativa scheda di riferimento
- Il prezzo consigliato sarà di $ 29.99
- Le lingue in cui verranno stampati questi mazzi saranno: inglese, giapponese, francese, tedesco e cinese (semplificato)
Ora tutto sta a capire che tipo di carte inseriranno. Alla fine dei conti è sempre quello il discorso. Non mi aspetto sicuramente un super-prodotto, soprattutto se lo scopo è “iniziare” nuovi adepti a questo gioco, però se oltre alla carta “falsamente” sgravata che inseriscono in ogni Intro Pack, inserissero anche un paio, non ne chiedo di più, di utility decenti alla fine potrei essere anche soddisfatto.
